Civil Engineers - Junior & Mid-level

We are looking for motivated engineers to perform a wide variety of tasks, which may include Stormwater & Sanitary Design, Highway Design, Site Design, Traffic Engineering, and Coastal/Marine Engineering.  AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation proficiency and a Bachelor’s Degree are minimum requirements.  

We have openings for the following positions:

  • Junior Engineers: 0-4 years experience

  • Project Engineers: 4-8 years experience, P.E. license and Project Management experience are desirable. 

Proficiency with any of the following is a plus:

  • Sanitary Sewer design

  • Traffic Engineering Software

  • Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software

Billing Specialist

Prepare in-depth invoices for clients such as the New York State Department of Transportation and local Long Island municipalities in a suburban office.

Part Time Position (20 hrs/week)

Monday to Friday 9 am to 1 pm (some flexibility)

All candidates must have a strong knowledge of Excel, able to proof work and check for accuracy and be able to communicate between Project Managers and clients with ease. LKMA is looking for an organized, self-motivated, individual with billing experience, with an emphasis on  Engineering/ Architectural firm work, who possess the following qualifications:

  • Accounting experience

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of accounting software

  • Familiarity with NYSDOT / State billing procedures a plus

  • Math/Accounting Degree a plus

Highway Inspector - NICET II/III 

Field experience including, but not limited to:

  • Minimum 2 years experience

  • NICET Level II or III Certification

  •  ACI Concrete experience

  • Soil Testing experience

  • NYSDOT Inspection experience

  • NYSDOT Office Engineer experience

Land Surveying Office Technician

LKMA is looking for an individual with working knowledge of the land surveying profession who may be searching for the office experience required for land surveying licensure. 

Some of the duties required by the land surveying technician are as follows:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3d and/or Microstation V8 Processing data from the field

  • Performing traverse adjustments

  • Producing CADD surveys, stakeout plans and general base mapping for design purposes

  • Creating DTMs

  • Conducting public record research. Compiling deeds and maps for boundary determination. 

1-2 years of experience and an associates degree at a minimum is required.
