LKMA Announces a new Senior Engineer, Pragna Shah, P.E.

Brookhaven, NY, September 6, 2022 — LKMA is pleased to announce that Ms. Pragna Shah, P.E., has joined our staff as Senior Engineer. Pragna, who brings more than 32 years of civil engineering experience, will work with LKMA’s staff to add valuable experience to our municipal services in the preliminary and final phases of roadway design and traffic safety.


For the past 7 years, Pragna has served as the Design Unit Supervisor (Professional Engineer 2) for New York State Department of Transportation. In that role, she managed routine mill & fill and smaller projects as well as several high-profile projects including the Re-evaluation of NY 347, final design of five NY 347 projects including Design Build, Long Island Expressway Improvements at Crooked Hill Road, the design approval and final design of the Long Island Welcome Center on the Long Island Expressway, and Nassau Expressway Resiliency projects.
Pragna is the recipient of several prestigious NYSDOT awards inclusive of the GEM Award (Going the Extra Mile), Recognition of Employee Excellence Award, and Employee of the Month twice. She is also the recipient of ASCE’s Quality of Life Award.
