NY 135, from Old Country Road to Northern State Parkway, Oyster Bay, NY
Project Details
Client: NYS Department of Transportation
Location: Multiple locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties
Project Summary
The project included establishing and laying out base lines along both the northbound and southbound shoulders of the mainline of the Expressway for approximately 7,000 feet on both sides. Additionally, baselines were established along three access ramps. Work included painting cross marks and stations every 20 meters. P.K nails were installed and tied at each of the angle points in the baselines.
All work was in metric in the NAD 1983 survey datum and all traverses were tied to the Nassau County Horizontal and Vertical Monumentation system. Due to the close proximity of high volume traffic, LKMA used the service of an MPT firm to protect the survey crew as they worked in the shoulder areas.
